SOC Analyst Intern

The SOC Intern will have an opportunity to work with the SOC on many different security tasks from offensive, to defensive style projects. Getting an opportunity to learn from each of these different styles of security, you will be challenged to push security to the next level.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Learn to deploy security tools
• Respond to Alerts, events, and incidents per our specified procedures and processes
• Identify weaknesses in customer infrastructures and suggest improvements
• Assist in creation and maintenance of documentation for security solutions and processes
• Stay up to date on the latest vulnerabilities exploits and any other relevant threat information
• Further knowledge by engaging in available trainings and partner competency programs
• Work with customers and coworkers both remotely (phone support) and in person
• Ensuring all security and operational controls are followed and enforced to ensure client data remains secure, available, and private, where applicable

Experience/Skills:

• Desire to learn and work in the IT security field
• Experience with home computers
• Familiar with networking and wireless concepts
• Familiar with Linux and Windows
• Programming / Shell scripting a plus
• Ability to communicate well both in written and verbal formats

Additional Information

• Functioning personal vehicle for transportation and a valid PA driver’s license required.
• Preferred Education: Technical field
• Some local travel possible
• Heavy lifting may be required (50lbs)
